Prebuck Engineered Framing

Prebuck engineered framing

Prebuck® Engineered Framing provides a strong, accurate and durable solution for window openings, door openings, sill plates and parapet wall terminations. Manufactured from treated Laminated Strand Lumber, or LSL, Prebuck is specifically designed for use in direct contact with concrete, making it an ideal companion product for insulated concrete form construction.

Unlike conventional untreated lumber, Prebuck engineered framing is manufactured to remain straight and resist warping, twisting, cupping and loss of fastener strength. It provides dependable support for windows, doors, glazing and exterior finishes while helping contractors maintain accurate openings during concrete placement.

Prebuck Window and Door Bucks

Prebuck Window and Door Bucks create an engineered frame around openings in ICF, concrete, masonry and other wide-wall systems. The treated LSL construction provides a stable fastening surface for windows, doors and finishing materials.

Double dovetail keyways help secure the buck to the concrete, while optional metal flanges can support bracing and attachment requirements. The system self-aligns on the wall and can reduce the need for additional concrete anchors.

Prebuck Wet-Set Sill Plate

The Prebuck Wet-Set Sill Plate provides a straight, durable sill plate designed to fit ICF wall widths. It can be set while the concrete is still workable on the same day the wall is poured, helping reduce extra setup time and keeping the sill properly aligned.

Prebuck Parapet Cap

Prebuck Parapet Cap provides an engineered termination point at the top of a parapet wall. It creates a stable interface for roofing, air barriers, framing and exterior finish materials.
